Dog in Action...

Here's my Girl!

Here is my running partner. She's 10 years young and as full of energy today as she was when she was only a pup.

She goes by Onyx, she's been a great inspiration in my quest to stay in shape and willing to get out each day to pound the pavement. Today was a quick and easy session. Only two miles out on the road. The weather is beautiful and the pace is like honey. I have decided to take my "light" days quite literally. In my last training session, I found that I was over-exercising which caused me to gain weight, loose sleep and increased my overall irritability and sleeplessness. This time around, I've made a promise to myself to listen more attentively to my body. This time I will take break and light days as seriously as I do my strength and cardio mixer days.
Tomorrow, I head back to the gym, and Onyx will get a longer time off leash to run free!
